  • Awarded a grant (2006) by the Taos Arts Fund for my work as a Performing Artist in Taos.
  • Short story “Limb” (published in Kansas City Voices, 2013) nominated for a Pushcart Prize in fiction
  • Debut novel, Broken Land, a Brooklyn Tale, named Underground Book Review’s Book of the Year (2014)
  • Short story, “Fruit,” selected as Brooklyn Non-Fiction Prize Finalist for Brooklyn Film & Art Festival’s competition (2023)
