Thank you. I appreciate your roving eyes. Have you seen Henry and June, the film?

I have, I enjoyed it. It’s tough when so,wine puts people you’ve imagined for so long in a movie, but never the less, I liked it

Yes, I agree. Plus that’s a hard one to capture, without getting mired in the sensationalism of the whole thing. There’s a depth in the book, which didn’t fully come across in the film. But I still enjoyed it. What are some of your all-time favorite films?

Hmm, not entirely certain I could come up with them. I loved Life is Beautuful, Fight Club, inglorious bastards, let the right one in, um and I’m sorry for this but boogie nights is my guilty pleasure. Haha

So you’re a Dirk Diggler girl 😉 Guilty pleasure duly noted.

I actually have not made it as far as the sack yet, so know that you’re not alone in your chatting. Your translation of Italian made me laugh out loud, I think I’ll just leave it at … yes, I asked you to meet me for coffee. Perhaps, if you’re nice, one day I’ll tell you what I really said 😉 Films. Yes, post-sack-manana, I’ll toss some of my faves your way. Now I’m really moving toward the sack. Good night!

A small sampling of my favorite films: Cinema Paradiso, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Mulholland Drive, Jacob’s Ladder, Little Voice, Persona, Good Will Hunting, Paper Moon, and The Others. Now I’ll be nice and tell you that last night’s parting Italian phrase was: Bye and good night, girl!

Haha, such a nice man.
Now that seems like the most understated description of you.
I’m not sure I’ve seen any of those except maybe Good Will Hunting. I don’t watch a ton of anything at all. I hope that’s not a coffee date deal breaker. Lol.
You’ve given me a to do list!

I’m a huge lover of cinema, it feeds my imagination and writing, plus I love solitary activities that take place in the dark, or at least in low, cozy lighting. Have yourself a splendid Thursday! P.S. I had no idea that Anais Nin’s birthday was yesterday, until someone commented that I had posted the Anais piece in honor of her birthday, which, I suppose I did in a subconscious and synergetic sort of way.

Maybe so, maybe so.🙂
I posted one of my favorite quotes from her late last night to. But I did know it was her birthday date. I was thinking you did too!
I knew you were partial to movies, cinema. It beautiful to have passions.

Yes, the friendship quote, a beautiful one. Well, back to the happy grind of my writing session. Today is quite enchanting, in that it is snowing lots (we’ve had very little snow this winter) the world turning to that mystical white-out, and I look forward to taking a hike across the fleecy landscape. And perhaps, like a little mittened scarfwound kid returning home to his mama, treat myself to some post-snow-hike hot chocolate. Arrivederci, SoCal!

And one of my favorite Miller quotes of all time: “When shit becomes valuable, the poor will be born without assholes.”
