Originally from Brooklyn, NY, writer, poet, spoken word performer, and playwright, John Biscello now lives in Taos, New Mexico. He is the author of three novels: Broken Land, a Brooklyn Tale, Raking the Dust, and Nocturne Variations, and a collection of stories, Freeze Tag.

Yes, I see it, there’s you in a neon-green bikini and heart-shaped sunglasses running away from the lavaflow and screaming, Vesuvius is gonna burn my buns, gotta run, gotta run (then cartoon-you cuts a hole in the air with your pinkynail and tears it open like wallpaper and you disappear into thin, torn air). Cue Looney Tunes music.
