Chet Baker

chet
Noticed the gilded wink
and smudge
Heaven’s kissprint
on the furthest edge
of sleek brass
holding in its
bottomless breath
the bluest broken pieces
of one man’s
clean/cut heart
treading blown glass
lightly
the beck and call
of the saddest nudge.
